Hand-carved wooden mask, likely Central African, acquired in Northmead, Zambia. Elongated facial form with narrow slit eyes, carved nose, and open mouth. Surface shows aged patina with worn pigment and visible handling wear. Back fitted with woven fiber, cord, and cloth padding, secured with lashing, indicative of use or display mounting. Mid-20th-century example. Shows heavy wear, losses, and fraying to fabric and bindings.
