Carved wooden figure in the Songye style, Democratic Republic of Congo. Seated form with elongated head, pronounced facial features, and stylized hands resting at the abdomen. Central cavity at torso fitted with fabric, likely once containing fetish or ritual material. Surface shows natural patina and wear from age and handling. Twine binding at the neck remains. Likely mid to late 20th century example. Shows expected wear, minor losses, and aging throughout.
