S&N Absolut Statehood: West Virginia R. Michael Christie Print. This lithograph is #74 out of #400. This framed print is approx 29 3/4" x 1" x 42 1/2" and it weighs 16.50lbs. The frame has small chips on the edges/sides.
Absolut Statehood was one of Absolut Vodka’s most ambitious and extensive art projects. Across the USA, 51 artists were chosen, one for each state and one for Washington D.C., and were commissioned to create “state portraits” representing their respective home states.
In conjunction with the campaign, lithographs of each work were sold, numbered, and signed by the artists. All proceeds, approximately 4 million dollars, were donated to the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) for medical research.
