1914 DWM P.08 Luger w/ 1916 Holster
This lot includes a German DWM Model 1908 (P.08) Luger semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Parabellum. The chamber is dated 1914 and the pistol bears Imperial German military acceptance proofs. Serial number 6186b is present, with matching visible serial numbers observed on the major components and corresponding abbreviated numbers on smaller parts. The included wood-bottom magazine is period correct but numbered to another pistol. Also included is a leather military holster marked "J.C. Weck, Coblenz, 1916".
The pistol retains a significant portion of its original finish with handling wear, edge wear, and age-related surface marks consistent with military use and long-term storage. The grips appear period correct and remain well defined. Markings and proofs remain visible throughout. The holster exhibits expected wear from age and use but remains structurally intact. Bore and mechanical function have not been evaluated by the auction house.
