P. Whitford 1906 Oil Painting on Canvas Framed Floral Flower Center Piece Still Life. Featuring a bouquet or roses and a vase, set against a dark, muted background. The roses, in shades of white, pink, and deep red, are the focal point of the composition, arranged on a white cloth that drapes softly across a surface. The painting is framed in an ornate gold toned frame. The artwork is hand signed by the artist in the bottom left corner, marked, P. Whitford 1906. Cracking on the painting is noticed, a few areas where paint has worn off the canvas, a few minor holes on the painting and the frame has light markings and scratches. The aging and drying of the paint causes craquelure. Additionally, the changes in humidity and temperature can cause the painting surface to expand and contract. This item is in pre-owned, previously displayed condition with normal light wear, and surface scratches. Please reference all photos for full details.
