Clipped free frank signature fragment attributed to David Davis (1815–1886), U.S. Supreme Court Justice appointed by Abraham Lincoln, U.S. Senator from Illinois, and President pro tempore of the Senate. Ink signature on paper fragment removed from a mailed envelope and housed in protective sleeve. Light toning and handling wear present consistent with age. Pre-owned, overall good condition with light surface wear to the clipped signature and display. Inserted in plastic protector. No COA or paperwork.
