Hand-carved wooden headrest attributed to the Turkana people of Kenya, featuring a curved pillow top supported by a central column and flared base. The example includes a carved handle to the rear and shows a traditional form used for supporting the head while preserving hairstyles. Visible age-related wear, surface patina, and an old metal repair plate affixed to the base. Retains natural fiber remnants tied to the handle.
