Handwoven Lozi gathering basket from Zambia, mid-20th century, likely produced in the Northmead region. Constructed of natural grass fibers in a tight coiled weave with geometric and concentric patterning in natural and dyed tones. Shallow form. Exhibits authentic ethnographic wear, including minor fraying, surface inconsistencies, and aged patina from genuine use. Please reference all photos for full details.
