Antique Leather Horse Collar
Horse collar made of leather with fabric padding, from the early 20th century. Used to evenly distribute the load on a horse’s chest and shoulders when pulling a cart, plow, or wagon. It makes it easier for the horse to pull without putting strain on one particular spot and making the horse uncomfortable. In good condition for its age, with some wear on the leather and staining on the fabric.
