1552 Letter From Catherine De Medici
Letter on paper, with the signature of Catherine de Medici. There is a note on the back of the letter that appears to be from later, describing in French what the letter is about. It appears to be concerning the restoration of a consular office in Clermont. Catherine’s signature is in the middle of the page, with a secretary’s signature below.
The letter is in good condition for nearly 500 years old, with some rough edges and light staining. There are some small tears along the fold lines.
