Antique Chinese Folding Screen Four Panel Black Lacquer Gold Bamboo Floral Landscape 84" x 72". This large Chinese privacy folding screen features beautiful details, and is made of luxurious hand painted and carved on black lacquer wood. It was likely made for export to Europe in the 20th century. It has brass wrapped legs, as well as brass hinges that have fared well over time. Two pins are missing on the hinges which make the top hinges loose. White ball accents are featured on one side with one missing. This privacy screen is double sided. One side the design is based around various bamboo and flowers, with leafs, vines, and roses most immediately recognizable. On the other side featured is a Chinese landscape with people, trees, and structures. Each side has a unique detailed border design. Four panels create a wide area of privacy. There is some wear and imperfections, but they only add to the charm of this antique reminiscent of 20th century European luxury.
