1800s Oriental Tea Table w/ Brass Tray Top
Oriental wooden tea table from the 19th or early 20th century and brass tray. The top features exquisite detail etched into the tray with birds and arabesque patterns. The base has oriental designs carved into some of the wood. The base is nailed together in a very old style of construction. The table is very low to the ground, as people would be seated around the table on floor cushions. The tray is stamped on the back for export from Hong Kong.
In good condition for its age, with some age appropriate wear on the wood and tarnish on the brass tray.
