Autographed framed photo of writer, Peter De Vries. This photo was considered the ‘the definitive" image of the writer. Please see the quote in the images from the book, "Peter De Vries and Surrealism" By Dan Campion that describes this image. Along with the framed photo is an small note card with a letter Peter had written to a friend. The framed photo is approx 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". Framed photo is in good. vintage condition with some wearing on the frame and some discoloration on the matting on the bottom left. Note card is approx 6" x 4".
Peter De Vries (February 27, 1910 – September 28, 1993) was an American editor and novelist known for his satiric wit. He has been described by the philosopher Daniel Dennett as "probably the funniest writer on religion ever"
