Juan Bandera Original Oil on Canvas
Original oil on canvas by Spanish artist Juan Bandera. Bandera was born near Malaga, Spain in 1917 and moved to mexico in the 1960s. He painted landscapes, rural life scenes, a series on the Mexican Revolution, and was even the official painter for Mexican Presidents Miguel Díaz Ordaz and Luis Echevarría ?lvarez.
This painting shows a man on horseback and a woman carrying a basket on her head traveling along a path toward a small valley town with a church steeple sticking up just above the horizon.
The piece has some light wear on the painting itself. The frame is starting to loosen and has some wear as well.
