This lot contains an Original Crab Watercolor By American Artist Sylvia Corban. Sylvia grew up in Mississippi and drew inspiration for her paintings from her love and observation of her Gulf Coast home. In 1992, USA Today featured a nationwide program in which one artist from each state depicted a vision of their home. Michel Roux of Absolut Vodka chose Sylvia as the Mississippi artist who portrayed her essence of the South through watercolors. This commissioning program was known as "Absolut Statehood, " and Slyvia’s feature made her well-known nationwide. In 2000, she partnered with Denny Knight, an expert in printing fabric and functional products. Together, they created a line of functional home items, with Sylvia’s artwork as the core design for each piece. Approx. weight and measurements are listed below. Overall the watercolor is in excellent condition while the frame has some light scuffs and scratches along the edges. Please reference all of the photographs as they are a part of the description.
