Large Vintage Libbey Glass Jug Five 5 Gallon Bicentennial 1776-1976 Stars and Eagles, Stars and Arrows, and Olive Branch Motif Rare Vintage Mid Century Libbey Glass. This is a Vintage 1976 Libbey glass 5 gallon glass milk jug, In the clear color with a pretty blue tint in the glass. It has an eagle on each side with stars. On bottom it has 1776 with a leaf wreath around it, a laurel wreath style.
Measurements: 5 1/4" top opening Diameter, 18 3/4" Tall, 11" Diameter bottom base. Weighs: 13 lbs. 10 oz.
This stands 18 3/4" tall and will hold 5 gallons of liquid. The opening is 5 inches and the base is 11 inches. The widest part around measures 35 inches.
These were made to celebrate the bicentennial in 1976. This jar/jug has a noticeable imperfection on the bottom of the base, light crack, minor crack on the bottom base. No other chips or cracks. The crack could be a mold flaw during production.
