French Model 1874 Gras socket-mounted bayonet featuring a cruciform blade, hooked quillon, brass pommel, and wood grip scales. Ricasso engraved a French inscription dated 1879 for manufacture at the Saint-Etienne Arsenal in 1879. Numerous inspection marks and serial numbers are visible on the guard. Displays expected age-related patina, oxidation, and handling wear. Bayonet only; no scabbard present.
