1680 Appointment to French Parlement
This historical French document carries a stamp from the government of Auvergne, and is dated 1680. The text is difficult to read due to the cursive, but it appears to be an appointment of a Pierre Dufour from Clermont to the "Parlement", an Ancien Regime institution that was not a governing body like the modern Parliament. The Parlement was a body of appointed appellate judges.
In good condition for its age with rough edges, a couple of small holes and some staining.
